Window shutters are great for homeowners because they can be opened and positioned to just the location that is preferred. This is done most often with the addition of a tilt bar or pull bar that controls the angle at which someone can position the louvers of their plantation shutters. Groveland residents might not be aware that when it comes to plantation shutters, there are actually a few different designed for tilt bars and how they are viewed. In fact, there are some options where a homeowner can choose to have their window shutters with no tilt bar if they like the look of their shutters better that way.
Traditional Tilt Bars
Traditional tilt bars are easily identified because they are the slim piece that connects over all the louvers of the plantation shutters. Groveland residents will not have a hard time using these tilt bars because they are very intuitive and easy to use. Simply going up or down on the tilt bars moves the louvers of the shutters one way or another.
Hidden Tilt Bars
Some people do not like the tilt bars on the window shutters of their home because in some instances it can obstruct the view through a window, while others do not find them attractive. Hidden tilt bars are a great way for people to still have control over their louvers, but they do not have to see them on their plantation shutters. Groveland residents should know that these tilt bars go on the inside of the window shutter close to the frame so that the only time they are visible is when the louvers are open.
Motorized Plantation Shutters
One of the modern renditions of opening the louvers of plantation shutters does not require a tilt bar at all. Today, there is an option for homeowners to get plantation shutters that are motorized, and can be controlled through a wireless single from a remote control. These motors are relatively small and can be placed on the inside of the window shutters so that they are not visible.
